OUR BELIEFS

Statements of Basic Beliefs

The fundamental teachings of the Church are reflected in the following statements of faith:
A. We believe in the one true God who has revealed Himself as existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. All are co-equal and co-enteral (Matthew 28:19; Luke 3:21-22; 1John 5:7). Jesus Christ, God manifest in the flesh, is the second member of the Godhead (Isaiah 9:6; John 1:1,14).
B. We believe that Jesus is the only begotten son of God who died for the sins of the world and rose from the dead.
(1 Corinthians 15:1-8)
C. We believe that the Bible both Old and New Testaments is the inspired and infallible Word of God (1 Tim 3:16, 2 Timothy 3:15-17; 1 Peter 1:23-25; Hebrews 4:12).
D. We believe that every person has a worth as a creation of God but that "all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God" (Romans 3:23)
E. We believe that forgiveness of sins and the promise of eternal life are available to those who trust and are faithful
to Christ as Savior and Lord. (John 3:16)
F. We believe that those accepting Christ should repent of sin, confess their faith in Christ, and be baptized unto Him. (Romans 10:9; Acts 2:38)
G. We believe that the Church is the Body of Christ on earth and exists to save the lost and that each believer is an integral part. (Ephesians 1:22, 21:9-2, 4:1-16; Hebrews 12.23)
H. We believe that the baptism of the Holy Spirit and the gifts of the Holy Spirit are relevant today. The baptism of the Holy Spirit is a gift from God as promised to all believers subsequent to the new birth. All the gifts and ministries of the Holy Spirit outlined in the new testament are existent today and are essential for unifying and edifying of the church. (Acts 1:8; 2:1-4; 19:1-7; 1 For. 12:1-31; Rom. 12:4-8; Ephesians 4:11-16)
